Teens R Making A Difference (M.A.D)

Teens R M.A.D is an initiative set up by 15 Year Old Grace Henderson. The purpose behind this initiative is to ‘Work Hard’ by taking part in charity volunteer events and ‘Play Hard’ by enjoying physical fun and challenging outdoor activities.

How it Works

Teenagers between the age of 14-17 years old are invited to join the Teens R MAD Charity Club. One Saturday a Month members will spend time with the club. The first part of the day will be volunteering at a chosen charity organisation and the second part of the day will be spent doing a fun outdoor physical activity.

The activity part of the program will aim to physically challenge the member in an outdoor environment whilst having fun at the same.
There will be a diverse range of charity organisations that we work with. We strive to encourage the members to find an affinity with at least one charity they can relate to most. By choosing such a diverse range of charity organisations there is more of a chance the teen will identify with a specific organisation. Once we have established which charity they are most drawn to we will form a bridge to connect them and the charity and encourage ongoing volunteer work after the program has concluded.
